Expertise
Computational geomechanics: coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical behaviour of clays and argillaceous rocks, from constitutive theory through to full-scale in-situ experiments. Work spans deep geological disposal of radioactive waste, energy geostructures, CO2 storage and slope stability under soil–atmosphere interaction. Founder of Terra Multiphysics, the solver and unified modelling workflow built on that research at the University of Luxembourg under the FNR JUMP programme.

Background
Biography
I work on the coupled physics of the ground - heat, water and mechanical stress acting together in soils and rocks. After a doctorate at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya on the thermo-hydro-mechanical behaviour of argillaceous rocks, my research moved with the energy transition: energy piles, underground energy storage, temperature-driven slope behaviour as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow, and today energy geostructures at the University of Luxembourg with ArcelorMittal. Terra Multiphysics is where that work landed: a platform I wrote end to end as its sole developer, checked against a full-scale energy-pile field test and published benchmark problems, with every published result traceable to a recorded solver run.

Terra Multiphysics
From the research to the solver
The two cases published on this site — energy geostructures and CO2 geological storage — are solved by Terra and replayed from recorded solver states.
